Change The Handler-Change The Dog

These are one man's opinion, Mike McConnery, no more, no less.

Dogs are interconnected, not unlike bees, in the way they read the world through each other. The dog reads mans world through man.
You can buy a car and I can buy a car of the same year and model. I may never change my oil or I may never do anything to the car and it will run perfectly well for a certain amount of time but the car will eventually break down because of something I did not do mechanically to maintain the car.
But the car is not going to do anything against me as a person or for me as a person. It is in fact going to run or not run by the character of the person who owns it.
A responsible person will maintain the car and the irresponsible person will not.

The dog is a little touchier. A dog functions off of the character of the individual and his attitudes.
Attitudes are character.
A dog bonds to your character.
The ability of your dog is the exact ration to the character of the handler.

Our emotion and our beliefs are what signal the dog to react or interact within any given situation. They have the ability to connect and to adapt far beyond our comprehension to their surroundings and to the human being at the end of the lead.
In terms of training the dog, it is, as it is in life, you reap what you sow.
You can see what I am saying is true. Dogs are not humans and should not be treated as such.
Weak people breed weak dogs
Go to a dog show and look at the people and their dogs. The majority of dogs and owners are over weight. Then visit our training facility and see our training take place. Here you will see lean people working lean dogs.
Dogs can teach man far more than man can ever teach a dog.
Change the handler; change the dog.
