Merry Christmas

Once again we are drawing near to the ending of a year in our time. This has been a productive year as far as learning is concerned, and an exciting year in working with the dogs. Perhaps it is age that pries open our common senses, but our knowledge is the one thing if we are not careful that will leave this earth with us. All of the many bobbles and treasures of physical life will remain behind. Even though we often try to hoard and grip onto them. Our true riches our life’s experiences, these things which should be left...we so often take with us. In the past 32 years I have seen the so-called dog world go to the humans...instead of the dogs. It is not a struggle of who is right...but what is right. It is not a competition of who is the best trainer, but who understands or try to understand these creatures we share so much with. We have this past year put dogs into homes to protect families, and deployed from helicopters with Spec Ops on a classified base. We have put dogs in Iraq on patrol with Spec.Ops teams and we have placed dogs on mats to sleep beside children and guard them through the night. We have discovered how incredibly little we truly understand...and yet enjoyed how amazed those we have had the privilege of showing our work to, looked as they watched the dogs. We stood under live ammunition in kill houses, and under trees as we worked our dogs. No excercise.no experience out weighed the other...as we learned from them all. We had the opportunity to meet and speak with many new people...and the loss of some that will be often missed as days pass. Time has changed little in the human experience...but it has brought about changes in how we deal with it. I am amazed at the face that now appears in the mirror. Age has come and although it is surprising it is not unwelcome. Just as this year has ended and a new one is beginning,so too are the days of our time. I have shared my walk with many fine dogs and people. This work has caused a great disruption in the minds of many. For this Guenther would be very pleased. I have seen my words copied by many, and my name both cursed and held upright. I enjoy seeing both. This year will I am sure present many challenges and solutions to those challenges as we turn another corner in our time. If it is not clear to many by now it should be, that the dog is a barometer to the human condition. The dog is as a whole in a very bad way. Once strong Working breeds are genetically weak and dying. Many refuse to admit a truth that will manifest itself in the disappearance of these breeds. Many are already gone, but are represented on paper by empty shells of the right color. The truth is, weakness is organized...so then must the strong be. It is then a simple matter to remove the hand of death, from our dogs and ourselves. It is at this time of year one recalls the times of gains and retreats, of walks and of stumbles along life’s journey. I notice santa has replaced the Nativity at city hall. The Ten Commandments have been ordered removed. Churches are trying to change to suit the darkness and the boy my Dear Mother tried so hard and in vain to get into church is called a cultist and holy roller, simply in mentioning Christianity. How times have brought about changes. The churches must learn, even though they change mans rules, they can not change GODS law. The dogs we all care so much for also suffer at the hands of the driven. The places called humane society’s are no more than dens of fools as sporting breeds are not to be hunted and working breeds are not to be worked. The places of rescue also are plagued with destruction as like the inhumane society’s they spay and neuter and refuse the dogs to be used for their bred purpose. MORE BITES ARE PERFORMED BY SPAYED AND NEUTERED DOGS THAN INTACT DOGS...IT IS A INHUMANE AND CRUEL ACT...and those irresponsible people who condone this butchery should be held responsible for the consequences. In the same manner the drug companies advertise on television and the radio to get and stay drugged they hold in the vet.circles to this stupid butchery of dogs. We all tell our children drugs are bad then we dope them and send them to school. IT is time to QUESTION people on why these things are done. One more year of the same foolishness or one more year to end it? Many things go through your thoughts on the year’s end. We have wars and rumors of wars. Challenges that are ahead will I am sure prove worthy and will be met by lessons of the past. It is important to remember just as our leads and collars will be left behind when we part this life...so too must the knowledge of how we used them. Have a good Christmas and do not be shy to voice the Name of Christ during your days on earth. Perhaps He in return will recall yours when you need it.
