I spoke to a person on the phone last week and they mentioned they had been accepted into a wolf pack.
When I hear that type of statement I cringe.
Until I hear it from the wolves, I give it no credibility.
Rather, being human, I realize we are capable of fooling even ourselves with our educated double talk.
The dog seeks to serve man by seeking men.
Man must track and trap the wolf.
Then he is bred in captivity.
We try to understand his wildness.
It doesn't take a genius to figure out what could happen if we could breed the rattlesnake to the harmless garter snake.
Why then do we believe wolf dog cross pups make good pets or guardians?
The wolf fears man.
Even his scent drives the wolf to flight.
Breeding dog and wolf is genetic piracy at it's worst.
The dog does not naturally fear man.
This in its self makes him different from all other creatures on earth.
Too often we are told man was given dominion over all animals on earth.
The Bible states this before it tells us of the fall of man. This in turn was the closing of the Garden of Eden.
The wolf shuns all of mans vain attempts to befriend him.
The question we need to ask is "why are we doing it?"
We already have dysfunctional dogs.
We give them dysfunctional medication.
We mask the symptoms instead of recognizing the problem and solving it.
Only the dog stays faithful to man as a friend, companion and protector.
Man needs the dog in his life.
In many cases the dog deserves much better in man.
A dog is the perfect example of true loyalty and faithfulness.
