The Wolf, The Dog and The Yuppies...

Remember: These are simply one man's opinion, that of, Mike McConnery, no more, no less.

Shows like animal planet would never change the truth...I mean all those facts are really facts. They do their homework before they put onto the little screen what so many young people and adults accept as gospel. I really do not think this is the case however I want to walk you through some of what I saw on this program. It was one statement that caused me to suffer through the entire program.... Well maybe not the entire thing. The speaker was a young lady, she made a statement of "we now have proof that the dog is descended from the wolf"she may have even said "conclusive proof". When I hear this sort of thing I think of the "CONCLUSIVE PROOF' the experts gave on using prozac on our children to calm them. Taking the family rules and order to the pharmicist and again breaking down the family unit. I recall the conclusive proof that man descended from the ape. It was at one time a theory...the conclusive proof that dinasaurs walked on four legs. They now say conclusively that they walked on two ...upright...or at least the lizards that we came from. Their conclusive proof means maybe..sometimes...could be..if you fall for it. This person went on to say that in Russia a scientist took the most sociable foxes and after 20 generations they not only became tame they changed color and their tails turned. This information she said concluded our ape like ancestors took very little time in domesticating wolves. Wolves that now became dogs. The fox is more related to the cat than the dog. To produce white it must have been crossed with a light colored fox. If the tail curled it was simply because it curled..and this has nothing to do with wolves or dogs. I would like to see them place these foxes back into the wild and after 20 generations have them turn back to a solid color and straighten out the tail. This is no real proof of anything except this program is full of crap. To show pack mentality they go to a senior’s home where we find a lady with a lap dog sitting in her chair. The woman with a challenging voice and body mannerisms orders the dog out of the chair. The little dog growls, snaps and refuses. The young narrator, changing her vocals, using body movements to entice and direct the dog in a more gentle manner, calls the dog from the chair. She then ever so carefully sneaks her butt into the chair ever so slightly. This she states is only possible because she is not a member of this pack. This is another load of crap. The elderly woman has built a rapour with this dog and could move it in and out of the chair in the same fashion as the narrator. If she was so convinced why change her vocals and use her lowered hand to draw the dog out? Why not just place her rear in harms way and sit down. I am sure the little bugger would never bite a non-pack member? Programs such as this provide false information. False information that is accepted by the world as the truth. Far too many dogs are judged or misjudged by this nonsense. We share our world with dogs. Dogs that if placed in the wild after 100 generations will not become wolves. The only people who truly are related to apes are in Hollywood making truth into fiction because we have learned to eat crow as a staple. I have dogs here that are not members of this narrator’s pack...come and move them. Your theories should be tested on thinking people...not stooges. Young people should learn the truth about the world around them. Not what some would like it to be.
