ARGO

Time passes and we often seem oblivious to it. Summers flow into fall, fall into winter and then spring returns to summers warmth. We mysteriously leave our childhood as our youth evolves into adulthood. It is upon this journey, a hand greater than fate, which brings us to meet those who become our friends. This is the case of our friends, Tom and Barb.

We met them through their two dogs. One dog was named "Argo" and the other "Zen". They became our close friends. They also became husband and wife and now have two children. Their dogs, the Cane Corso, "Argo" and The Red Dobermanns Pinscher, "Zen" brought protection and comfort to them before and through the transition of being single to married.

Memories are gifts that live in our hearts and come alive just behind our closed eyes. We heard the other day that Argo had died.

Dogs are in many ways, teachers of life to us. They never complain. They are constant in their giving of themselves. They exhibit true friendship without condition or pressure. They leave us as they stood with us, with a profound sense of having shared in something more than the physical.

When I first heard of Argos leaving, I thought of the first time I saw him as he pulled Tom across the course. The same laughter in Tom's voice was heard even after Argo walked gently at his side. These memories, are life's most valuable gifts and to recall them we simply just close our eyes.

To Argo I give my thanks for the magical moments you brought to me upon my field and to the insight you gave into your breed. Most of all we thank you for the friendship that you and your red friend Zen created between Tom, Barb and us.

I will always see dogs as dogs and humans as humans. That is what makes it all so incredibly beautiful. This then, is our tribute to you "Argo", the Giant that once did the impossible.

REMEMBER THE FOUR DOOR WRANGLER JEEP?

When we at Baden went looking for a vehicle that could stand up to our travel on and off the field, we found the new four door Jeep Wrangler. We are preparing to do a show for television so the look was also new and went with our type of training. Or so we thought.
