We do not permit our dogs to be registered by any registry. I say permit because we were approached to set up a registry for Working Dogs. It is impossible to do this with integrity with those who have not only condoned but profited from the poor breeding practices and registry of inferior dogs. By doing this they are not the solution but the problem. This being the case, we have no intention of letting them use our name and bloodlines to further fill their pockets with ill gotten gains.

We record and keep strict records on all of our own dogs. The pups we breed are a direct result of the strictest program in existence today. This also includes Europe where the dog jockey scam is as big, if not bigger, than it is in North America. Registry papers today stand for deceit and poor breeding. They are fabricated and of only value as a warning to stay away from the dogs they represent.

Each pup born at Baden has been from proven sires and dams. They are offered for Work only after they have proven the mating has produced good pups. Dogs today are being given life through what once was, but really no longer exists. By this I mean that almost all breeds are incapable of doing that which the breed was bred originally to do. The registries do not of course let this stop them from misrepresenting the breeds. They do not stop breeding such useless dogs and registering them. They have no intention of stopping this scam of scams, because the consumer is so drawn by the fact the dogs are registered that they are paper blind.

Those who seriously hold concern for the breeds should boycott the registries at all cost. Demand that they begin to vigorously breed for ability not availability. Sadly, the sport world which once held some dignity, is also filled with the same lack of conscience. I write for the dogs not for popularity. I refuse to become that which I hate. Baden has always stood up and out because they refused to stand down.

As far as the dogs go we as breeders can and must protect the breeds. Think of one way in which the once Working breeds have benefited from being registered. I challenge you to do this. You will quickly see there is no way everything the registries have created is poorer and more susceptible to disease than when they first registered them. You can not better a breed by eating donuts and shooting off your mouth. You must get up, get out and Work. You must cull, not register and rely on papers to scam an unsuspecting public into paying for your lack of conscience. No we do not and NEVER will let the registries, register our dogs. They have not earned the right to destroy all the great breeds. If we are forced to stand up against the entire dog world on this matter at least we will have good strong and healthy dogs standing at our side.

Take pride in your breed and stand against its destruction through misrepresentation. At Baden we ask who is protecting your family? You are that's who. It's not only your decision, but your responsibility to become informed as to the truth. It makes no sense to follow the snobs if they are headed to the cemetery.
