CHANGES
We have seen many changes come into our lives over the past twenty years. It is no doubt that these changes have in
turn brought about changes within ourselves. I have learned that anything of importance in life happens collectively
not singularly. This is proven in how we as a people, as a nation have been so affected by those things taking place
in our churches, schools and yes even in our homes. In our homes where “our families live”. We have perhaps not fully
forsaken our families, but we have forgotten them to a point. They are our responsibility, “Not the government’s
property”. We have an obligation to protect them.
As our dogs get weaker so to does our resolve to accept our
responsibility and to respond to our challenges with dignity instead of fear and avoidance. We know in our hearts if the
changes are good or bad. To remain quiet because we are frightened of the consequences of speaking out is understandable.
Still no matter how dark the night, the dawn will surely come. With it a brand new day will begin.
Shall we go down in
history as those who stood by frightened as our world burned around us? I think not. We are frightened to speak of our
GOD. We are frightened to devastate our enemies. We are frightened of not taking pills or shots. We are frightened of
yesterday, fearful of today and anxious of tomorrow. We silently watched as Christmas became the festive season.
Please listen when I tell you that it is no slight of character to be frightened. It is however a lack of character
not to do something about it. Changes are not all bad; perhaps it is time to bring some about
