THE NEW YEAR
Once again we step into a new year. One, I suppose, cannot step forward, without taking a glance backward. For us at Baden K9, 2005 was a year of exciting promise. It saw us take our Work and philosophy into many foreign countries and demonstrate its effectiveness. In 2005 the first Phoenix Training Manuals were offered in print. Also the first of two books was offered and received very well in its first few months.
Our facility had many new faces cross its fields and sit in its classrooms, as Working Service grows in popularity both here and overseas. We have seen born, the most effective and willing pups we have ever bred.
Still 2005 also brought to us a deep sadness when we lost our dear friend and brother Bryan. Not a single day goes by that Bryan is not on our minds and in our hearts. His energy and loyalty will never be lost nor forgotten at Baden K9. He will always be missed and his place at our table will never be filled.
Looking ahead towards 2006 we have many new challenges in both domestic and foreign theaters. If we could accomplish one thing in this New Year, I suppose it would be to educate and stimulate the dog world at large. The Working Breeds are suffering terribly. What was once a noted problem is now a pandemic. The treatment for which is common sense. To let the world see that there is only one German Shepherds Dog in type and in ability. One dog which is capable of being, playmate, soldier, herder, protector, detector, and tracker. Then to put this dog back into health and condition. This would be a year well used.
I guess the all important thing is that we are still here. If once again we can offer that for another year, then that also says something. We wish all of you a Happy New Year and may GOD grant you the dignity to honor your family and friends and the strength with which to crush your enemies. Keep America safe and free and never give in to fools nor bullies. Someone has to stand upon the wall…….it might as well be you.
