The news in France, Briton and many other countries is not too flattering where America is concerned. In fact the only other single country that speaks out more strongly against her policies is the citizens of the United States of America. That is one reason that I love my America and still it is one reason that I fear for her. Perhaps sometimes, we as a people should hold our tongues and simply look at Old Glory flying for a moment or two before we speak. You see, some speak out not for love of America, but out of hatred for her. It is sworn and fought for, that each and every voice is free to speak as long as the Stars and Stripes is flying.

Some would use that freedom to lower her to half mast. For free people, the decision of who should speak and who should not is a major problem. In fact, there are some who have fought for those that not only speak out against America but would silence those who would speak for her.

These are times of inner turmoil for some Americans. We call China a trading partner. It is not known as Communist China any longer. Some American companies assist in keeping slave labor alive in Communist China just do to business with them. That's right; they intentionally hand over information out and censor information coming in to the people of China. Yet, they themselves live in freedom and safety. We no longer feel shame, it is after all just business. America has sold our steel and factories as well as technology to the Communists. What do you think they will do with it? If they keep their own people in fear and slavery, what do you think that their plans are for us?

Japan, after the bombing of Pearl Harbor, was said to have awakened a sleeping giant in the United States of America. Well that giant is once again asleep. It is a deep sleep. Perhaps we can awaken from our slumber by refusing to put down our country; by rebuilding our factories and restoring the sign of excellence which read, "Made in America". You won't find it in Wal-Mart. You won't find it easily in many places. You will find it in the hearts of every true American .

If this summer each and every American stayed in America for vacation and spent their dollars there instead of other countries, there would be an outcry from Canada and as far away Everest.

It is time for Americans to gently touch America. If you need more to convince you, just look up at Old Glory. It was, it is and always will be, worth fighting for. The concept of a free nation was first a dream in the hearts of over taxed and over ruled men. In its beginning the dream was called treason by those who wished to own all men and all lands. I will admit that we have again become over taxed and in many ways our freedoms are being threatened by the same minds and hearts that our founding Fathers warned us against. Still, the dream itself is alive in America. It is this dream that is so hated by those who fear it. They fear the free thoughts of free men.

Let not this generation lay down that dream, nor confuse it with political ambition. Now it is time to think before we speak; to embrace our own peoples before we extend our arms to others. Is this a selfish thought or a loving act? Americans need to protect America. We do not need to heal. We are not wounded or weak. We need to stand, not so much in defiance, as in unity. Remembering that even in places like Communist China, one can dream. It is the voicing and ability to follow and live that dream that separates America from all other countries.

To those who assist in the enslavement and torment of others for business or gain, you too will one day reap what you have sowed. We can be a symbol of freedom and sanctuary in an ever confusing world. Still it is time to feed America first.
