REMEMBER THE FOUR DOOR WRANGLER JEEP?
When we at Baden went looking for a vehicle that could stand up to our travel on and off the field, we found the new four door Jeep Wrangler. We are preparing to do a show for television so the look was also new and went with our type of training. Or so we thought.
From the very start we had roof leaks and door leaks. In fact the Jeep went in at least six times to get the leaks fixed. The soft top was removed because it was said that it was the cause of the leaks in the hard top. This proved to be not the case. We had our passenger door shoved full of liquid gasket to stop a door leak. It covered the door post and got not only onto peoples hands but also into their clothing.
At the same time as the leak problem the Jeep would shut off completely while driving. When we took it in to be looked at we were told it was impossible and were we certain that we did not turn the key or stall it ourselves. We knew that we had not, but we took back the Jeep. Within a few days it stalled again. This time it was full of people and the vehicle was being tail-gated by a large fast moving, welding truck. The truck had to pass us on the right, throwing up a stone from the shoulder and cracking the windshield. We discovered at this time that a recall was in place "Because the Jeep would just stall". There have been two reported serious accidents connected with this problem. There was still the leak in the door. Again the brakes failed. This time it failed while the vehicle was on a hill and again the new four door Wrangler stalled. It coasted backwards down the hill and caused the Jeep to get a crumpled rear bumper.
At one time the Jeep was a "war wagon', faithful in battle. Now the head of Chrysler hides from standing behind his product or his word. We suggest that no one purchase this new Jeep without giving it plenty of thought. There is no lemon law in Canada so it is buyer beware.
Baden K9 and Tactical Schools is the worlds premiere breeder and trainer of working dogs. Jeep is not dependable to take into the driveway, let alone into the field.
