SUFFERING LOSS
We all face the fact that we are mortal. There is nothing that we can do about it.
It is what we do when we are here that we can do something about. Right now as I write this
we have people serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. I am not only speaking about those in the
military, but those private operators as well. They are facing a very serious threat each
and every day. That threat is terrorism and the violence it evokes. Still there are other
forms of terrorist acts. Some do not manifest themselves in explosions or gunfire. They are
however just as deadly in their application and their intent. One such act is demoralization.
Make no doubt we have been and continue to be demoralized by a parasitic enemy. They have
learned to make our weaknesses and kindnesses into their strengths. The very fact that so many
now refuse to say Merry Christmas so as not to offend anyone, shows how really weak we are as a
people. Think about what would happen if we as a people tried to deny or even suggest that other
cultures no longer use their greetings in regards to their religious holidays. If we went to
their countries and suggested that they change their culture to suit our wants? In most cases
they would torture us and then kill us. Have we given any thought to what happens when after
we deny our God and our culture and theirs is growing ever stronger?
Sheep people are meant to
be sheered. We are no more than sheep. Our country was founded and built into a strong nation,
because of our faith and culture. It is growing ever weaker and unstable because of its denial.
We feel embarrassed to say that our streets are unsafe or our school systems and churches are
lacking because of our refusal to stand up for who we are. We do not want to offend those who
are responsible. Those whose desire is to destroy us, each and every one of us. It takes
courage to stand up for ones faith and for ones people. We do have our own people you know.
We find no shame in denying each other; perhaps it is not too late to change that.
If you do
not believe what I am saying just look to countries like Holland and France. They did not
believe it either. We have for too long been silent. It is as simple as saying Merry Christmas
and meaning it. It is as simple as no longer buying plastic dogs from China and sending them
our steel and technology to build machines for war. I know there are those who would say this
is a fluffy kind world and we have free trade. Well try stopping a tank with a plastic dog.
We are losing more than a greeting we are losing a culture and an identity. If there is shame
in standing up for what our fore fathers have died to maintain, surely it is no more shameful
than standing down from protecting it. To those who remain overseas..Merry Christmas, to those
who are here at home..Merry Christmas. To those who find offence in my greetings…Merry Christmas.
Not all Christians are comfortable in the fetal position.
