WAG THAT TAIL
The great minds of the dog world are all a glow with the thoughts that they have deciphered the code behind the wag of a dog's tail. This once again proves that the biggest of all fools are the educated fools. A little wag to the left means one thing. A little to the right another. I think the dogs were merely nervous being around the types of nuts that did the study. How proud they were to publish their findings to an ever gullible public. It seems a fool with a university degree carries a lot of weight in the world of the easily amazed.
I think a great study would be one which studied those who would spend days watching dogs wag their tails. Another would be to study who pays for such studies, while children starve in the streets. Arrogance often is the disguise of fools and it is worn proudly beneath a certificate of learning. It would seem that we somewhat enjoy being misled as we flock to these types of nuts and eat up their every word. Oprah has them on so they must be correct in their findings.
MacLean's Magazine just did a story on the Malinois which was blown up overseas. In the article some genius states that this dog was perfect for detection because he had a long snout. It was printed so now it becomes gospel even though it is utter bunk. In fact a long snout on a Malinois is a sign of poor breeding. When the legend reads better than the truth, print the legend. Thus this very poor dog becomes a very big hero.
You are welcome to write me for what I have stated, in fact I will print it again "Very poor dog". The fact is balls and bombs do not mix, they have it would seem because they did so in training when it happens for real "Doggie goes boom". Once again we are faced with the untruths being accepted as the truth that is why dogs as people are rapidly degenerating. One could I suppose simply join them and agree with everything that they say.
We live in a time when being "misled" is known as "leading". It would be popular, it would maybe lead to Oprah, but it would certainly lead to pastures less green. For me this line from a famous poem holds meaning………."two paths merged in a wood…..I chose the one less traveled……and it has made all the difference".
I still walk it with a dog who knows his tail wagging simply adds to the journey. A journey which neither needs nor wants the foolish rants of those who live out their lives in a twisted form of semi-consciousness. Puppies wag their tails at children, the weak, the strong, and the elderly and even at fools. They show a great tolerance for stupidity and self righteousness. In a world of lost souls we give grants to feed the dragons of our own short comings instead of feeding the hungry. A wagging tail is much better seen in places where it is needed than in the pages of a mad mans theory. May those tails wag long after foolish tongues have been silenced and man accepts that his understandings have fallen short of the true magic of life. A dog's tail is somehow connected to a Childs smile and that is enough for me to know and to wonder at.
