For many years Baden has spoken out against the wrongs being done to our dogs. I have written regarding the kennel clubs and their total disregard for the dog's health and future existence. Instead they choose to boost egos and award ribbons for crippled, sick creatures bred out of madness and the darkness of human nature. I have also been the single voice against sport training in law enforcement, military or real life demands. The veterinarian community have also fallen under my pen as they become more pill pushing advocates than experts in animal science. The inhumanity of the humane societies and their general ignorance of the natural habits and instincts of the creatures they state so loudly to represent, have caused me to write. In all of this, my popularity has grown. In fact I am most probably the most read, most hated and the most loved, dog person on the web. Still someone has to stand up for the breeds, before they can no longer stand on the legs GOD created them with.

We humans are a shameless arrogant lot. I have to ask myself not why we would treat our dogs in this manner, but rather "why not"? After all we treat our children and elderly with even less consideration. We drug our children because teachers suggest it. We drug our elderly, because…well I guess, just because. The flu shot is now available to be given to children and will be just as dangerously useless in them as it is in adults, but that will not stop us. We are a brain dead group.

This once marvelous earth shows the age lines of our contempt, just as our brains reveal the foolishness of our hearts through our tongues. Yes, we can look around and see how much we have done for our children our elderly and of course our dogs. We may not question these things for which we are responsible in this life, but we will answer for them before the next. Maybe, just maybe it is time to ask why instead of saying "why not"?
